The Intel Core i9-8950HK is the most powerful processor for laptops that the company has presented so far.
The new Intel processor has 6 cores inside and 12 threads, and can support overclocking comfortably and according to Intel itself is designed to create 3D content and 4K animation. The new processor is designed based on the 14 nm ++ architecture, belongs to Intel’s “Coffee Lake” platform and can support operating frequencies up to 4.8 GHz.
In relation to a three-year-old system, ZD Net says it offers an 88% increase in performance, while Intel’s new mobile processor is 29% more powerful than the Intel Core i7-7820HK, while inside of the new processor is also the Intel 300 Series Chipset, which offers Gigabit Wi-Fi, which offers higher speeds than an 802.11 AC chipset.
Dell announced that it will present an XPS 15 very soon with the eighth generation Intel Core i9-8950 processor built-in, with enviable battery autonomy, which -according to several online sources- could last up to 21 hours.
